This event was organized by Ultimate Fintech and took place between 19 and 20 May. Many from all around the world came to the event and many have considered the event's attendance a massive success (despite the presence of the global pandemic).

Over the two days, visitors were able to see any signs of the future’s promise in a variety of ways. All this while providing visitors and potential investors for local and international businesses with the best Dubai has to offer. In this piece, we will look at the expo and go through everything of note that happened on both days.

Dubai Fintech Expo: How Was It?

Before delving into both days of the 2021 iFXExpo in Dubai, we should look at what the city that held it had to offer to the attendees. These things are what make Dubai the best place to hold a business expo and they will be explored. Dubai is one of the biggest markets in the world with a population of over three million people all from all over the world. 200 nationalities call this sprawling business haven home.

Besides the business aspects of the stay, attendees got to see the beautiful skyline of Dubai even upon arrival. Attendees also got a chance to enjoy the many amenities Dubai had to offer. These included seeing great landmarks such as the Dubai frame.

Over 11,000 restaurants and cafes are available for attendees as well as thousands of the best hotels in the world. The Dubai mall alone is something that will draw you in and convince potential investors to move their financial businesses to the city. These are among the countless activities and locations that Dubai has to offer and they made the stay for the iFXExpo very enjoyable for attendees.

Day One: What Happened?

The first day of the iFXExpo took place on 19 May 2021 and was the Grand Hyatt Dubai Convention Centers first event with people in attendance in two years. As noted in the introduction, the event was a success, but day 1 was more so. This is from a turnout perspective of course.

Day 1 began with the activation of safety measures put in place due to the global pandemic. These measures ensured that the event kicked off without a hitch and once the local authorities were appeased, attendees were allowed full access to the expo. Once the expo began, attendees were able to watch panels filled with dozens of speakers. Some of these featured the highly exciting Creativity and Innovation in Crisis panel, and the Leaders roundtable.

All 35,000 plus, in attendance from the ICT, Fintech, and Forex industries were treated with the best experience to network among themselves and create innovative solutions for the future. The event spanned an entire day, finally ending at 6 PM. This meant that the rest of the event was to continue the following day.

Day 2:  What Happened?

Day 2 of the iFXExpo essentially followed the same beats as the previous day only that it featured a lot more speakers and more conversations and networking. This meant that the experience and service were superb.

Day 2 was mainly focused on the topics of Fintech and FX. There was also a great discussion about the US economy and the impact COVID-19 left on the ability to host such events safely. Other topics brought up on day two included the following:

  • VC’s role in the Fintech sector
  • Affiliate Marketing in FX
  • The future of payments for brokers and beyond
  • Tools brokers need to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 and other global events

Another thing that was failed to mention was the unlimited coffee, water, ice cream, and other refreshments that were available to all attendees. These were of course sponsored by the likes of Airsoft, Finalto, and TradingCores.

Plenty of financial topics have been discussed at the Fintech Expo 2021. It is worth mentioning the stock trading and cryptocurrency discussions, payment systems and banking field topics that are a top priority nowadays.

One can only applaud the organizers of the expo for their expert running of both days of the event. Not only was it incredibly successful, but it proved to be a beacon for the future running of such events in the most uncertain times. That is the most meaningful takeaway from the iFXExpo Dubai 2021.
